Being quite new to film I only read about drum scanning very recently and decided to take advantage of the generous offer to get a couple of free scans. The process on contacting Tim and Charlotte was very simple with friendly help and on receipt of the film, they informed me when they would be ready.
I’d love to say something new but like everyone I was delighted with the resolution, the detail is outstanding on 6×7. More impressive is the conversions on the colour negative (Portra 160) compared to the standard scans I’d had done the shadows and highlights are far cleaner with more detail, they are just far more.
