I am showing some work from my project in Northern Ireland for the first time as part of a group show in Oslo (Prisms of Myopia).
Seeing the drum scans for the first time on my screen was fantastic, this was before I had even made the final prints. The depth, clarity and tonal richness are beautiful; it almost feels like they are 3D. I had to do very little in post production to make the photographs as I wanted them. Because of the scans, the photographic prints in the exhibition seem to glow. There is a luminous quality to the prints, and I have had a lot of people ask about how I achieved the quality in the print.
Each time I send another batch of negatives to Tim to scan, I look forward to seeing what my actual photographs look like!
